For Doom specifically. I had an idea of converting MDK's sky textures to a format usable for Doom, but I'm not sure how legal is that.
The conversion is already done. What I'd like to do now is to publish a "MDK skies pack" for people to use in their own maps and mods.

Soo... will I end up in jail if I do it?

I think it's legal as long as you don't get any money from it.

If you want to sell it, then you should first contact Interplay Entertainment. They have all rights to MDK.

Thanks. Of course I don't wanna sell it (that would be stupid right?), just use it for my own crappy maps and maybe even give the possibility to do the same to other people. You know, delivering kindness.
